This show opened the Arcadia Stage, the smaller theatre in the Arden’s New Home. It was flawed, but an important step in my development. The play, nearly 100 years earlier, was able to speak in eloquent ways about the current moment. The small ensemble of actors who doubled in roles was impressive, and it is still one of my favorite set designs ever, from a dramaturgical perspective.
“...an ambitious choice. No surprise for the Arden...”
